Does anyone know if you should re-auto-recalibrate your printer if you place AMS and filaments, 10+ lbs, on the top of your H2D? The printer seems to shake a lot while working and I imagine the response changes with additional weight on top
I am not aware the weight of AMS is specifically considered in the re-calibration recommendation. But I would recalibrate if the initial calibration was done without the AMS full of filaments on top. I don’t see any harm doing so.

The weight changes the resonant properties of the structure. It’s “Mass Damping”.
IMO the resonance cals should be re-run if they were originally run with no weight on the machine.

I’d add that the same rule should be applied to any changes in the physical condition of the printer. Move it to a new table? Resonances are going to change. Put some squishy feet under it, resonances are going to change. Put 50LBs of filament boxes on the table the printer is sitting on (doesn’t have to be on the printer itself), resonances are going to change.
Any time you make significant changes to the machine’s physical conditions, that could effect/influence the motion of the machine during its operation, you should rerun the cals.
