Question…where did you plug in the AMS2 ? Asking because me and a friend both have P1S’s with the original AMS and ordered an AMS 2. Both of us have an issue where if the original AMS is plugged into the AMS Hub, and the AMS 2 is plugged into the original AMS, then it works fine for printing and can read Bambu filaments, but if you put in another brand you can’t set the filament type or color. However, if you switch the AMS 2 to being plugged into the Hub, and then plug the original AMS into the AMS 2, everything works as it should. Trying to figure out if this is P1 specific or overall an issue with the AMS 2 and P1/X1 both.
I had read in a post or possibly on Reddit that you need to connect the 6-wire connectors to the same side when daisy chaining. So if the interconnect cable is on the left side port of AMS you need to connect to the left side port of AMS 2. Don’t cross connect. I did that on mine and it is working fine. AMS to AMS 2 then AMS 2 to the second AMS. In all cases lining up the connectors.
