Two of the slots on one of my AMS 2 Pros suddenly started behaving strangely. I was printing ASA Aero to finish some spare parts for a friend, and the next part failed because the filament would not load. I found a piece of filament broken in two places along the PTFE path, cleared it out, and then watched slot 1 try to read the RFID tag. It failed three times, and after that it retracted the filament so aggressively that it broke again. It now does this with any filament, which is extremely frustrating. After this happened, both slots 1 and 2 stopped reading RFID tags on any spool, although the same spools work fine in other slots. I should also add that around the same time, the printer stopped playing its full startup melody and now only plays two notes before cutting off, which is equally mysterious and makes me wonder whether the entire printer is about to fail or what exactly it is planning to do.
So I have two questions: what happened to the feeder in slot 1 that makes it yank the filament back as if its life depended on it, and why did RFID reading on both slots fail at the same time?
