Hey everyone, I have been having some issues with my prime tower on my A1 mini. I am running a BMCU I assembled myself but it is functioning exactly as expected.
The issue I am having is random sections of my prints getting thrown off the bed, I have tried glue but even then it will rip off. My first experience with this was a “flexi-stitch” (an articulated Stitch model) which I would eventually like to try again! But it is a 15-17 hour print that failed 3 times on me at around 10 or so hours so I naturally got frustrated and gave up.
I have had the same issue when only using 2 colors and the fail (print getting thrown off the plate) tends to happen near the color change if that makes sense. I have a hard time knowing whats going wrong because I am never looking at it when it happens.
Attached are some photos that I think might help visualize my suspicions. There is some interior stringing/ blobbing inside my prime tower… cannot seem to figure out why and I have watched it print the prime tower very closely yet cannot see what makes these string/blobs.
My theory is a string or blob gets stuck on the nozzle and when going back to the print it just punches it right off the bed.
Any thoughts are appreciated and if there are any tests you think I can do I will be happy to take the advice!
