Another Scarf Dilemma But Different

Please see the attached images. The contour scarf looks rough over the area shortly behind the tunnel in the model. Slicing Result images from BS consistently show longer layer times and fan speed adjustments in this area. The tunnel in the model cannot be moved or altered and adjusting fan speeds beyond current settings caused other surface defects.

• Machine: A1
• Filament: BS PLA Matte
• Seam position: Painted, Back
• Filament scarf settings: Contour and hole, 5%, 0%, 20mm
• Seam gap: 20%
• Smart scarf: On
• Other seam settings are default
• 0.6mm Nozzle, 0.25 layer height, 0.6 outer wall
• 1 wall loop due to production time/cost constraints

I can guess why this is happening but don’t really know. Constructive criticism and ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

What happens if you manually paint the seam, forcing it into the corner?

The same result, just moved to the right a bit. But, if I combine that with changing the seam position to Nearest it looks different in the preview. I’ll have to do a test print to confirm.
