I just loaded the newest incarnation of Bambu Studio… you’d think I’d learn by now…
Can’t find my printer….. I finally took my laptop and plunked in on the build plate then the found each other. Now I’ve walked away and the connection is still quite strong. WTH
There’s no plate….. There is a build plate, it’s sitting right on it.
I tried to print 4 P clips. It would have been easier to go to the store and buy them. One screw up after another.
I’m really getting tired of Bambu Labs updates. They’re now like Microsoft, fix one thing and screw up three others.
Sorry for venting but it’s time for a change.
Shouldn’t have been a need to find your printer. If you can’t find it then log out and back in.
Build plate is a printer issue, not a Studio issue. Studio only knows the plate for slicing. Doesn’t care if the plate is there or not once sent.

This last update V2.5.0.66 is a real mess! Now every time I open BS it keeps telling me there is an update and asking me do I want to install it. I have installed it now about 5 times! On top of that is keeps there there is a network (?) update and do I want to update it. This is getting to be really monotonous!
At one point all my custom saved print profiles did not show in the menu not sure where they went but they are back now?
I finally just told it to SKIP this update and it seems to have shut up?
You most likely have check for beta upgrades checked. It’s downloading and putting a different shortcut on your desktop or start or wherever. You keep getting the notice because you’re still opening the old version from an existing shortcut.
As well, you have figured out how to silence it yourself. Wasn’t that hard was it? Check preferences and see if you have “Check for beta updates” or similar. Uncheck that, look around your computer for a link to the beta or other version. You probably have two shortcuts pointing to two installs (beta will install in a separate directory)
