Hi, is anyone skilled at soldering? My P2S just encountered a blob of death, lol.
Not very good, plus, with my arthritis, one of the wires snapped on the hotend heating assembly. I cannot get a new one from Bambu till the end of April.
So if anyone near Warrington, England, can, how much to fix it, please?
Solder melts at about 200ºC so…
You would need to crimp it.

If that is the warrington near manchester, there are a lot of hacker and maker spaces aronud there.

I personally would not repair this via soldering. Those wires handle a lot of DC current relative to their wire gauge and already are in a hot atmo. Run a new wire? Not sure how the P2S is setup but I imagine those two bigger wires go directly into a ceramic thermal core that is pinched into the block - you might be able to pop that out and get a better idea of the possibility of repair.
And dont damage yourself or the rest of the machine over it, heater/thermister cores are $5 on alibaba – while a critical part, its nothing precious

Tremors, plus inability to feel pain has some ‘interesting’ outcomes.
Sorry it’s actually Makerspace Manchester, not Manchester Makerspace, but I’m sure your search engine will sort it. Someone in a place like that, 100%, will know how to fix a 3d printer and will happily teach you how to do it.
