Anyone else put TPU through the AMS?

The TPU filament is too soft to push back into the AMS so when the retraction is enabled, instead of pushing out of the extruder, it bends just above it. And the it gets grinded into a thinner strand which the extruder eventually cant use. So it stalls the extrusion even tho the print process continues.

No, it happens when you do manual load, select the filament, sit trough the process…, then it will start trying to load it, but the problem isn’t that the gears grind the filament and then it isn’t loading, for me, the problem is, that the filament doesn’t even reach the extruder gears to begin with. When during the extruder grabbing process I push the filament a bit, it loads fine and unloads without me touching a thing.

Now that i think about it maybe the AMS spring is to strong for it and it doesnt let it flow correctly :man_shrugging:t2:
