"Archive" Conversations

I’d like the ability to archive a DM conversation. It would all collapse into a single “Archived” list, which could be clicked into. If a message was sent in an archived convo, it would un-archive it.

Legally speaking, there is a legal obligation in the EU & U.K. to respond to a “subject access request” due to GDPR laws.

This requires a company to provide a copy of all the data held in the user (the subject).

Most companies have this as an option in their respective apps. You select the option and an automatic process begins which results in an email with a secure link containing a zip file of all related information.

Part of GDPR also requires companies product a mechanism to take your information in a digital way that allows you to transfer them to a competing service.

Each of these have a 30 day window to complete the process or they are breaching the law.

Many people outside of the EU & U.K. benefit as it is often provided to everyone rather than testing for eligibility.

I couldn’t find examples of either. This doesn’t mean they are not compliant, BL may claim their process requires a manual request through the ticket process.

BL will have a specific problem as the 30 day window begins when the request is made and not when the request is acknowledged. We all know how long tickets take to gain any response.

I doubt BL even knows about this legal obligation.
