I am having the hardest time printing thinner wall projects on my PS1. I’m using Overture ASA.
Here’s what I have tried:
Calibration
Slow down print speeds to 50mm/s
No fans
Internal chamber temp at 32C
Bed temp at 100C
Nozzle temp: 250C
looks like its burning, I would personally get bambu asa and test how it looks and tune params based on that just to discard is the printer. But on your piece I think you should turn down the nozzle temp slightly
The nozzle temp does look really high as stated by @eried so that could be the problem. If it isn’t, you might want to turn on the part cooling fan a smidge, like 5-20%. I know ASA isn’t supposed to have it on, but for me printing with ABS it was critical to have it turn on at some point. Of course this is from just my personal experience, and everything is different for everyone.
Thank you guys for the tips. I used the Bambu default ASA settings and the print came out perfect. I compared my settings to the default ASA and you are both right.
The fans are slightly on and the temps were lower too. There is also retraction turned on the default.
The interesting part of all this is that my custom profile printed flawless all my parts so far but of course I didn’t have any thin wall prints. Live and learn.
FWIW you could also go through the calibration tests with that filament if you haven’t done so. After calibration on my P1S my prints are nearly flawless with the calibrated filaments.
