I have an object made up of multiple pieces. They are listed under Assembly. Do I then do Booleon to combine all the parts listed under Assembly? And can that take hours?

Not sure what your end goal is but you shouldn’t have to do anything further for the the slicer.
Somehow I get a seam between 2 of the parts when printing. And Assembly didn’t help. So I want to make it into 1 full object.

How do I upload it? If by link, do you know which site is best for that?

It gives me an error when trying to upload. Any idea why?
Also, when I did the boolean, it crashed twice near the end of the process.
Would sub-merge several objects at a time show what is going wrong?

Four primitive cubes, arranged in pairs that just touch (or overlap).
Both cubes on the right were selected and then Merged with a right-click.
I’ll rely on AI for an explanation, as I prefer to do this sort of work in CAD.
Yeah, I read that already. 
Basically I have a hole to cut in the middle of a cube. I cut along all 4 sides, leaving a square hole. Putting the pieces back together was done, verifying with coordinates that all pieces are where they were.
I will re-do the proper way, using negative part to create the square hole. I spent time on towers to glue back in at a specif size, so was hoping to finalize the old way. Seems it won’t work..

Good luck, I’m afraid I cannot visualize what you are trying to do.
It’s a city map. with tall skyscrapers. Those skyscrapers are too thin and tall to print properly. So I remove them from the city model, leaving holes where the buildings were. Later I print the skyscrapers on their side so they print well.

I’m assuming the file size is too large for the forum. This is also why the mesh boolean operation is taking hours…
A few months ago a user (not sure who) had bought a city map, which turned out to be a massive data rich with every single point of a city scale.
It wasn’t designed for printing due to its significant size and the file sizes were massive.
- Did you purchase this model from such a service?
- Do they suggest it can be 3D printed and do they provide images demonstrating that?
- Do you have an image/screenshot of the model as a whole or the parts?

Yes, it can be printed. I have done so with this data file before. The result had a seam in it, even tho there shouldn’t be 1. It is still trying to combine them, as u can see.
