I recently got the H2c and have 3 ams as well as 1 ams ht connected to it.
Of all the multi-material systems, I really prefer the Vortex system for my use cases, since it does not require one spool to be connected to each hotend. This means I can start printing with almost any installed spool and nozzle size, use the filament runout system, and be flexible with different nozzle sizes for all the different filaments.
However, I am wondering why Bambu has not announced a nozzle switch accessory yet. It would be awesome to have a device connected to the AMS cable installed at the back of the printer that could swap the two tubes for the two nozzles of the H2C/H2D.
This would allow us to use all connected filaments on both nozzles, which would be a huge advantage for all existing and future H2C/H2D printers and over all other multi-material systems.
There are manual switching options like these models, but none of them are automated.
It would be awesome to have a PTFE tube switch that rotates! You could still connect the ptfe tube adapter behind it, completing the whole dual nozzle/Vortek experience!
If there is already one in progress, I would love to try it out and provide you with my feedback. @BambuLab ![]()
