I would really like to have a function in Bambu Lab to shutoff my H2S when its ready printing. Is there such a function? Or can it be done with G-code?
Shut off as it turn off the power? The printer will go onto a “sleep” state but there is no way for the printer to “power down” after a print. That said, other users have a work around that uses a Wifi outlet and Home Assistant to do this.
I will look aroud for that Wifi outlet.Thank you.
There’s this too if you’re a brave soul…
I finally found a perfect solution. This device automatically shuts of the power when your printer is finished. Easily calibrating with a push on a button. You can find it on Amazon.
Maximum current on that remote switch is 10A. On 230V I wonder if your H2S might not easily exceed that rating. You want the switch to have a rating that exceeds the maximum draw of the printer.
Current consumption of the H2S is 8.9A (2.050W) so this would be no problem.
Mostly. For continuous loads the recommendation is to size switches with 20% headroom. 10A is slightly below what is recommended for continuous duty. There’s a number of conditions on that depending on type of load and how often the switch is to be used. The lowest headroom I found was 15% - better but still slightly under rated.
Will it be ok? Can’t say for certain but I’d guess it might - but I would definitely keep an eye on it for overheating or signs of any issues switching under load.
Thing is with cutting things close, any deficiencies in the actual hardware that reduce headroom even more could end up moving things into danger territory. No idea how likely anything like that is. But a 10A switch on a 8.9A load is slightly under rated for the load.
