AutoRefill, change inactive spool mid print not possible?

Recently I had 2 half filled spools of Bambu PLA matte white in slot 1 and 2 of my AMS.

The Refill rule was 1->2-> (circles back to 1)

So I assumed what I could do is start with slot 1, then let the printer auto switch to 2, and while it is printing, manually replace the spool in slot 1 so it would auto swich back to that.

I tried - is this not possible? I only got a “filament ran out” when the spool in slot 2 finished as if slot 1 were empty (Slots 3 and 4 were some other filaments I used for the print)

In another situtation I printed with 3 identical spools in slots 1,2 and 3. Refil rule was 1->2->3->… While slot 2 was printing I noticed that the slot 3 spool didn’t have enough filament so I changed it to a full spool (same filament). That didn’t work either, I got the same “filament ran out” error for slot 2.

In case I didn’t mess something up, this would be a feature request!

Agreed it would be great to be able to add rolls to the refill routine mid-print. Also, even if the print was started with only one spool of the relevant filament, there’s no reason that if you add a spool mid-print it shouldn’t refill to that.

Lastly, in the case where you are trying to burn multiple partials, it would be great to be able set the refill order manually.
