Auxiliary hot-end constantly loaded with one filament?

Hi All,

Question to all users of X2D. I am wondering whether it is possible to keep the auxiliary (Bowden) nozzle constantly loaded with support filament and never have to unload it after each print. I am planning to use this nozzle mainly for supports, and there is no point for me to remove the filament after each print.

Does the X2d ask to remove the filament from this nozzle after each print?

regards

Adam

I would “think” it would work like all the other external spools and just leave it loaded the entire time unless you would want to unload.

I haven’t used the bowden side, but a default setting to unload the bowden wouldn’t make much sense considering it’s not going to wind your spool for you.

Or are you using the bowden side with an AMS? If AMS I think the only way to keep it after a print is by modifying machine gcode to stop the retraction at the end of your print.

No, haven’t seen a message like that.
