When printing with stringy material, I’ve found it really helpful to turn on ‘Avoid crossing wall’ so the strings end up over the printed material rather than in mid air. But I wish there was a smarter version of the function that could prioritize avoiding larger travels across walls, like in the pic above. It would be much better for this part to have travels over the small holes (for my purposes anyway) than to be crossing the entire part, leaving long strings.
Maybe there is a way around this? Like perhaps a modifier could be used to say avoid travels in a specified area (an inner cylinder in this case)? Can anyone think of a solution to this?
I know this part could be printed with the cylinder geometry vertical. It’s just for example purposes…
Thanks!
