when printing if item is flat area that needs supports it very rough after u take off support.
using pla + 220c bed 55
I have had the same issue, to some extent it is just the nature of 3d printing.
The best improvements I have seen personally have been from reducing the z distance in the support settings. This will make your support material harder to remove (will become part of the model if you reduce it too far.)
I suspect that improvements can be made with careful tuning of your extrusion volumes, however I have not tried this.
I have found that playing with the support pattern and spacing can make a big difference.
Increase support top z distance by maybe .01-.04 and test. I’m currently using .16 with matte filament and most of my supports just pull away cleanly.
You could also use PETG as a support material for PLA (and vice versa). Will increase print time but neither really stick to one another so you’ll get clean removal.
