I recently bought a Bambu A1 and have been very happy with it. However, it has suddenly stopped printing correctly. The first layers are not being printed properly, and the printer continues going through the motions as if it’s printing, but no filament comes out.
When I push the filament in manually, it starts extruding again — but of course, it prints into the air because the earlier layers are missing.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Replaced the extruder gear (the yellow cog)
- Changed the nozzle
- Tried different filaments (Bambu Matte)
- Tightened and loosened the driven wheel bracket
Despite all this, the issue persists.
I’ve also noticed the following:
-
When extruding filament without the nozzle, I see this:
-
The first layer doesn’t look good either — I think something is off, but I’m not sure what exactly.
Here is a video of the wheel bracket, it pushes the yellow cog aside, I don’t know if this is correct.
At this point, I don’t know what else I can do. I hope someone here has an idea of what might be going wrong or can point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance!
