Hello there,
I’m asking for help to resolve the problem shown in the pictures attached marked as “Printed multiple objects by layer”.
When I print only one unit of this object, the overhangs walls are very clear and have the quality I’m searching, but when I print multiple units (like 20) by layer, the overhangs walls starts to fail at some point like the wall is kind of melt so it ruins the printing.
I’m using AMS for impression so I’m looking for printing by layer multiples objects to reduce the ammount of filament poops so printing by object is denied.
Could you give me some kind of advice to resolve this problem?
Kind regards.
Hi,I feel in both cases the quality is not accetable. I think i had a similar defect once. I remember cleaning the z axis rod and lubricating to solve the issue. May be you can try it and see if that helps.
Hi,
Thanks for the advice. I give you news tomorrow.

Hello,
I cleaned and lubricated Z axis rod without success. The difference now is that the left side is well built but the right side has the same problem.
Here is some configuration I’m using for the printing:
Filament: PLA Basic
Temperature: 220
Nozzle: 0.4
Bridge flow: 0.8
Order of walls: inner/outter
Print infill first: yes
Outter wall speed: 50mm/s
Inner wall speed: 300mm/s
Wall generator: 2
Infill density: 10%
Infill pattern: grid
All strength fill-pattern: concentric
Is the model symmetrical ? If not may be the angle is too steep and requires support till wall is vertical.
Yes, is symmetrical. I don’t have the problem using an 0.2mm nozzle but I wanted to reduce de printing time using 0.4mm nozzle.
For the same printing:
0.2 nozzle → 30h
0.4 nozzle → 11h
May be you can try to reduce the speed of the inner wall from 300 to 200 since the main difference between 0.2mm nozzle and 0.4mm should be the flow rate
Hello!!! That solved the problem!! I reduced inner wall to 150 and I set acceleration to 3000. I reduced infill speed to 180 both.
I hope this help to somebody who has the same problem with overhangs!
