Brand new (less than 50 print hours) A1 cannot print multi color prints, and cannot continue printing properly if paused, either by user or because of an error.
After it changes colors or tries to resume after pause, the layers are shifted several MM to the right, kinda makes it difficult to print anything.
I also keep getting nozzle covered in filament/print bed out of position errors, but the nozzle is not covered in anything nor is the bed out of position.
I’ve now had the issue with 4 different models, both multi color and single color. All sliced with Bambu Studio, both PETG and pla (a combination of Bambu, overture, Polymaker, elegoo, and esun)
It’s normal to have a light layer shift after a long pause but thats not it at all, somethings skipping something when it parks. I’d almost say look at the x belt to see if there are any visible missing teeth
Yeah I have a support ticket it, but for whatever reason their lead times seem to be getting longer and longer. Mostly trying to see if anyone else had a similar issue and if it could hopefully be a simple fix (like Im an idiot and didnt take off a piece of packaging or something, but i know im dumb but not THAT dumb…maybe)
A toothed belt is so loose, or has a few missing teeth, so it’s slipping on the stepper motor pulley. That would mean the print head position would no longer match the position the software expects.
Something is causing too much load, so the stepper motor is missing steps. Perhaps something blocking movement to the print head extremes? Check the purge/poop mechanism is working freely, and that the filament cutter probe is in the correct position. Nothing stuck in the guide rails at either end?
Since it sounds like this happens after a filament change, the second one is more likely to be the problem, I think.
