I’ve done it all. Full factory reset. Full s/w reinstall. New SD card, formatted in the printer. Checked every single port to be open. Disabled anti-virus (nothing fancy: just Windows Defender).
Split my network into 2.4 and 5Ghz channels, and made sure everything is on 2.4. Tried LAN only mode. Tried using my iPhone as a hotspot. Nothing.
TRIED WITH THE PRINTER NOT 3 FEET FROM MY ROUTER. Nothing.
Have uploaded logs multiple times. Nothing from Bambu, though i did get a message today asking me to - you guessed it - upload my log files. Again.
This printer worked fine, 100%. After the latest release, dead. For the record, I changed nothing on my network prior to the problem and installed nothing new. But nothing I change now on my end affects anything. The s/w takes FOREVER to load, and even when it does is so fragile that if you don’t wait minutes (yes, minutes!) for it to stabilize will crash if you click anywhere. Because it can’t make a connection with the host site.
I have yet to see any response from Bambu Tech Support that hasn’t been an auto-generated message.
I was ready to throw this POS in the garbage and move up to the A1. But based on their just-announced recall, these can now….catch on fire.
Bambu has turned into a dumpster fire. Poor quality components and terrible, terrible (and possibly 100% non-human) tech support. This has been weeks now. (BTW: My initial ticket? They told me to do all the above and then closed the ticket. Even though it wasn’t resolved.)
Your printer may work for you now. But based on my experience, the end is coming. Plan accordingly.
