Bambu Connect not importing sliced files?

Has anybody had any issues where Bambu connect won’t import sliced files?

My bambu connect all of a sudden just started to act up. There are no error messages or anything, I either drag & drop or use the import button to find the sliced files but the software just does nothing. It is not crashing. It is just not importing.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, installed the latest beta version, rolled back to the previous version, restarted the laptop multiple times, all with no luck.

I wondered if it didn’t like Orca sliced files all of a sudden but Bambu studio exported sliced files doesn’t work either. Earlier on the day I had printed a bambu studio sliced file just fine via bambu connect. Even the exact same bambu and Orca sliced files I have printed previously via connect aren’t importing.

Sorry to hear that — this sounds frustrating, especially since the same files worked earlier the same
day. I’d like to try to reproduce this on our end. Could you share a few details?

  1. A short screen recording of the import attempt (drag & drop or the Import button), so we can see
exactly what happens — or rather, what doesn’t.
  2. Version info:
    • The exact Bambu Connect version(s) you tried (current, beta, and the rolled-back one)
    • Your OS and version (e.g., Windows 11 23H2 / macOS 15.x)
    • The slicer versions (Bambu Studio / OrcaSlicer) used to export the files
  3. One of the sliced files that fails to import (a .gcode.3mf you’ve previously printed successfully
would be ideal, since we know it used to work).
  4. If possible, the Bambu Connect log files from right after a failed import attempt.

Hi,
Thank you for your response, unfortunately (or fortunately for me) it all just started working a week after I posted here. I didn’t do anything to fix it, it wasn’t working once and then suddenly it started working 10 minutes later.

  1. As it is now working I can’t replicate that issue anymore!
    • I was using ‘Bambu Connect v2.4.0-beta’. It was working fine until it wasn’t. I rolled back to ‘v2.2.1-beta.2’ as that was the one I was using prior. And then I rolled back to ‘v2.4.0-beta’.
  • OS is windows 11
  • Bambu Connect was ‘Bambu Studio v02.06.00.51’, Orca Slicer was ‘Orca Slicer V2.3.2’
  1. ‘P2 L 1 A…’ is an Orca Slicer File. I keep getting error messages to upload a bambu sliced file (it’s 29.6MB but the forum keeps telling it’s too big? Even though the message says max file size is 500MB)

P3 L 1 A PRE_PLA_3h35m.gcode.3mf (6.5 MB)

4. I am not sure how to find the log for connect, so I shall need some guidance on that if possible.

Thank you for your time and help.
