I’m a new to Bambu user so if this is obvious I apologize. I just reused my first spool. I popped the Matte Black cardboard tube out and loaded the Charcoal refill. Put everything back together and loaded it into my brand new AMS 2 Pro. The AMS wiggled all the rolls on restart and labeled everything correctly except the refill which is now Green. I tried everything I could think of to manually choose the color but it won’t let it go. I haven’t seen this one in any of the forums, any ideas?
Is there another filament loaded all the way to the extruder? If so, you’ll need to perform an “Unload” function so the newly added spool can properly feed far enough to determine the amount on the spool.
No, they are all just sitting there. The device page in Bambu Studio doesn’t show any filament loaded to the extruder. I’m not looking for the amount, it’s the wrong color.
My statement statement holds true for all the filament info to be reported back correctly… I would verify the printer matches the state being reported in Bambu Studio with regards to filament loaded to the extruder. Also to verify, you stated refill, as in a roll of filament without a spool? The refill did have the RFID tag on the tube, correct? All else fails, pull all the filaments from the AMS feeders and reload…

Maybe try switching the new matt black spool with one of the other spools in the AMS. If that still gets no result then force the AMS to load the suspect filament, then if that does nothing switch the printer off and on. If that all fails could be a faulty RFD tag on the new spool.
If the above steps don’t work you could try cutting off the rfid’s from the old spool and taping them to the outside of the spool in the same place as the suspect rfid tags inside the spool.
It might read these and correctly identify your refill, or might not be able to read either and let you manually set the correct colour.
A bit more inconvenient solution is the rewinding of the refill onto a different spool without RFIDs,
Otherwise you might just have to live with the incorrect colour and just change your model colour or manually select the green when printing until the suspect refill has been used up.

A firmware update solved the problem.
I just had this happen. New roll of TPU for AMS in grey, and it reported it as ABS in yellow… Hmm. Restarted, reloaded still same issue.
