A few weeks ago, I ordered about $320 of PTEG from Bambu. Mostly I ordered re-fills, but some were only available, at the time, on a spool. The Clear PTEG I order was on a split re-fillable spool!
I put spool locks on it and am using it now. I think the price difference was only a couple of dollars but isn’t that a $15 spool the used with the filament?
If this is normal with Bambu, I was not aware of that. This is s definite bonus for buying Bambu Filament, beside it probably being the best.
The Bambu spool can be used for the refills.
Does all the spools work with refills
Most do. Haven’t mixed and matched a lot of refills to spools, but I can see some having a slight width variance, like the do on diameter. Just make sure to line up the cutout notch.. made that mistake once.
Yeah , I never really understood the $11.99 for a empty reusable spool when you can get a full reusable spool for $14.99,
It’s not meant to be sold. It’s meant to be used to tell you that refills are cheaper.
As long as one uses those spool locks. I lost a full roll of White ABS last week. I tried to re-spool it, but 10 feet in end up with a knotted mess. I would not be good on Survivor untying knots. I got frustrated after half an hour and tossed it in the trash; I then found out about the spool locks. Lesson learned.
