I wanted to stick a thread up to discuss how people will be using theirs with regards to the vortek system.
We can use this to discuss variations in materials/use case to drum up a bit of excitement whilst offering suggestions and tips to others
From the offset, I think I will have the left nozzle as a dedicated support nozzle for support material and then use the right nozzle for different colours.
I’m hoping this will allow me to save a fair bit of filament swaps having a dedicated nozzle on the left. Really happy to learn other ways I can make use of this new system.
What kind of question is that? What can H2C do that H2D cant? What can it do , apart from volume, that x1c couldnt?
Vortek is just a nozzle cleaner. NOTHING more.
The probable answer here is they gonna get rid of they big poop bin and install a smaller and continue to do whatever they did with their previous machines.
Floptek doesnt open ANY new horizons except if cost due to poop is what is keeping you from reaching said horizon
I guess some may use the 0.2 or 0.6 nozzles more as it’s easier to do now. I’ve had X1c’s, P1s’, 2 x H2s’ and haven’t ever swapped a single nozzle over because I cba with the faff of swapping. Now its opened the doors for me to try this a little easier.
Have dedicated nozzles for certain prints / materials.
Things like that, everyone will have different use cases and i’m all for hearing them.
Thas something you can do on H2D, H2S, P2S , and A series. I can see the potential there, but ill aknowledge that advantage when they actually implement it, seeing as to how it was promised to be a feature on H2D too, but complete silence on that.
That’s actually what I am struggling with. I have the H2D in my cart, but the H2C is now available in the US forcing me to ask the same question you are; what would I use the H2C for? I suppose printing wargaming terrain/vehicles/miniatures so that I don’t have to paint them? Being able to “spawn” an entire army of “painted” minis in a couple days would really open the door to hobbies that previously I didn’t have access to due to time (the H2D still lets me do that, just with more waste).
Not having to open the door and clip in a new nozzle is a non-issue for me. I’ve been doing that with the P1S to move between .2, .4, and .6 and the H2D’s system is far superior to the P1S.
I have the H2D, I use it for single color and 2-color prints. My plan for the H2C is to move anything over 2-color prints to the H2C and save purge and time.
I have 4 kids that generate a lot of multi-color print requests.
