Bambu H2S with Bambu studio is printing imaginary shapes on my object

This is driving me crazy! I want to print this small object (~6mm X 2cm). The printer keeps printing imaginary cylinders etc out of nowhere!!!

What is happening?

EDIT wait I just saw the object size. Can you turn on the “thin walls” settings or “Arachne” permeters. After that, see below.

(only do this after checking the above) Likely this is a fault in the file, can you publish the file so it can be checked? It could also be a weird bug in the printer caused by this file, in which BBL would need to see the file to fix the printer firmware.

I do not think is a faulty file. I have printed this file many times with an old creality printer and came out perfect each time. Just now i noticed that the strange cylinder appears in the printed part exactly where the bambu studio displays the seam on the slice. So it has to do somenthing with the seam… I tried arachne and thin walls. no luck.

I’m guessing it’s a spiral z-hop retraction. That would happen on a seam. Turn on tool path display in the slicer to confirm.

Why it’s still extruding while it does this, I don’t know. Needs to retract more or filament is wet or flow is too high…? Have you used this particular filament before?

If you can attach the project file here, that might help diagnose, and check if I’m wrong with my guess.

As @Eponymous said, please share your print file. What nozzle do you use?
I got curious and loaded your STL into Orca Slicer and printed it on my P1S

  • BambuLab PLA filament (well dried)
  • .4 nozzle
  • .20mm Standard layer height
  • no other changes than adding a brim

Come out just fine.

Two things I saw:

  1. There is a small gap in the front of the STL with just 0.05mm width. The slicer just removed it, it is too small for a 0.4mm nozzle.

  1. Your brim looks weird, how do you create it?

Thank you all. Some extra info:

Nozzle: 0.4mm

Filament: Creality PETG (works perfectly on larger parts)

Filament profile: Generic PETG (works perfectly on larger parts)

In the picture I used a 5 layer Raft. I tried to use a brim and the printer could not hold the part in place, the part inclined and dropped. EDIT: I now used a brim with ZERO gap and it holds.

I Managed to print it perfectly now using the following changes:

Layer height: 0.16mm high quality

Line width: ALL 0.4mm

Slice gap closing radius: I added an extra zero so: 0.0049 (for the gap to appear)

Resolution: : I added an extra zero so: 0.0012

Brim type: outer brim

Brim width: 10mm

Brim – object gap: 0mm

Spiral vase: CHECK (I think this made the magic) there is no seam now to create the strange cylinder. As a result of checking the spiral vase the following parameters changed automatically:

Wall loops:1

Top shell layers:0

Sparse infill density: 0

Using vase mode eliminates the seam, but the single-loop walls are 0.4 mm thick instead of the 0.82 mm design thickness.

Quality→Seam→ Seam Position→ Nearest or Back would move the seam to a corner where it could be unnoticeable. Then the model could print in Regular mode with two wall loops and be dimensionally accurate.

If the print works and you are happy with it, that’s all that matters.
