Bambu Hole size, customized offset, confused

i want to make a hole size, on printing, slightly smaller than what is in the STL file.
bambu has the CUSTOMIZED HOLE OFFSET

it says that if the value is positive, it is a tighter fit; but if i make the number positive, the hole SEEMS to be larger (in the bambu studio).

what is the correct way to enter values here? Negative, or positive, to make the hole smaller? thanks

hello, any feedback, to clarify this? thanks

Before and after images using 4 mm (after slicing)
This 3rd image is -4 mm again after slicing

thanks -
SO, the verbage is not coreect; NEGATIVE makes tighter fit, positive makes looser fit.

thanks again, have a great day

They may of mistaken one for the other, or a bug ?

i used .5 and it was corrected to 0.5 ,but still loser

@aPrinterInTheHills you may be better of using this setting , althhough it is still positive is looser negative tighter

thanks for reply !
i will try both.
i actually did the drill gauge, with (-0.4) setting, and then drilled each hole (basically just fine tuned it) with accurate drill bit, and i now have accurate drill gauge.

BUT, i will also try reprinting (will make a 5-hole test gauge) to see how accurate this can get, using the X-Y hole, and see what happens

thanks for experimenting !
