Hello all, I am very frustrated with my Bambu lab A1. It shouldn’t be this hard to get a print started! I will say everything from Bambu Handy specifically, has printed well for me with no issues whatsoever.
Now, when i go download an STL from say, thingiverse, to slice in Bambu studios, is when print issues start. My print will not stick to the bed (Textured PEI). Ive tried many different filaments, All PLA ( Creality, Eleego, Flashforge, Sunlu). I’ve tried different bed, and nozzle temps. Ranging from 50-65C and 195-220C ( Copying temps 65 & 220C from bambu handy prints doesnt work). Ive got my last project it to start once, but it failed for knocking off a support. This happens with different models not just one specifically. Seems anything i slice. That was the only time it even came close and i used SUNLU Rapid PLA in white. I do have a dryer and have used it to see if moisture is the issue but no. The thing is, the skirt and or brim dont even really begin to stick, sometimes ill get a partial skirt to work but as it moves around some areas dont adhere and it just drags the PLA with nozzle. Most times It will immediatley ball up on the nozzle as it moves around picking up unadhered PLA. Bed has been washed with soap and also wiped down with alcohol multipe times. To reiterate, bambu handy prints work fine, so it must be a slicer setting for me. Anyway to take a known good profile and see its settings?
In my settings i dialed back from advanced to basic just in case i was causing issues there. Ive slowed down my first layer up to 30 mm/s, and turned off cooling for the first two layers. Added Brim, but it wont even lay that down right. I am using a generic PLA profile. I also always run bed leveling and flow calibration before every print. I’m not seeing where i can share my 3mf but have it - multiple actually sent to my printer as i keep adjusting to try again.
I’m very much a rookie, but i do have an ender 3 v2 i’ve upgraded, which i use cura slicer for and it just works. So having bought this bambu A1 printer thinking it was a major step up has been a disspointment in this area. I would hate being limited to only printing what is available in the bambu handy app. Please help me figure out what im doing wrong! Thank you!
