Hi,
I recently bought a new Bambu Lab A1 mini. After completing the calibration, while printing my first Benchy, a screw fell from the upper part of the printer. I’m not sure whether it came from the toolhead, nozzle, or purge wiper. The missing screw did not interrupt or affect the print this time.
Below is a picture of the screw. Do you have any idea where it may have come from and how to reinstall it?
Thanks! I tried placing the screw in that part, but it doesn’t fit—the screw is too small. I then checked the documentation more closely and found the image below (picture on the left), where the hole actually appears to have no screw.
Also, the screw I found has a Phillips head, while most (if not all) of the other screws on the printer seem to be hex head. Because of that, I was wondering if it’s possible the screw may have fallen in accidentally during assembly or packaging, do you think it is common?
I’ve already done a few prints, and everything seems to be working and printing well so far.
Hi, I checked the fan as you suggested (thanks for that). I can see all the screws in my printer, except for one hole that is not covered. However, according to the documentation, that hole is not supposed to be covered either (at least from my understanding). The toolhead was closed while printing, so I’m not even sure if the screw could have come from there.

Yes, you’re right, now I understand your point. Since I’m quite new to 3D printing, may I ask how changing the position of that screw would help? This is the current setup as it came from the factory, which is a bit strange because it seems different from the documentation.
