Tried both ironing and no ironing
Printed at 220C and 215C
Printed at 200mm/s and 180mm/s
Hi I’m new to the printing game and I’ve been trying to print out some items (see image below for reference). I’m trying to print dog head shapes that are multicolored.
Tried with raised outlines the resulting raised outlines are uneven.
Also tried same level outlines, resulting print is better but some parts are also uneven. To create a smoother top surface I tried using ironing however because I’m printing multiple colors on a single layer the resulting print isn’t exactly clean, some of the colors are intersecting with one another.
Any advise on making the prints cleaner and tidier? Thank you so much
I would dry at least your black, and/or reassess it’s pressure advance. The mouth’s lines not connecting is a tell.
The brown and white in the last pictures could possibly benefit from a flow RATE calibration too (likely an increase), there are some gaps in the top surface.
Ultra fine strings can be postprocessed away with a quick zap from a heat gun or jet lighter.

I recently got an A1 mini lite. It works fine as a stand alone unit with the pre loaded programmes.
I now require help with further issues.
I want to post in the relevent sections but cannot find how to post, I am in my mid 70s and not very technically minded.
Once again I apologise but if someone could push me in the right direction to start my post.
In order to start posting inquiries you would need to read other user’s posts first. Spend maybe 30 minutes or so reading other user’s posts or readmes. Also posting in other users posts. This will increase your trust level and you will then be able to post. Cheers!
Thanks for responding, I have spent time reading some posts but got nothing as yet to post for others, my questions are more on how to move from a stand alone printer to progressing via my desk top so I can access other projects.
I will try again reading more posts although at this stage they mean nothing to me until I get up to speed with my own printer.
Oh if you have a bambu lab printer it is pretty straightforward. You can install bambu studio, login your account on your pc and your phone. When setting up your printer it would prompt you to scan and connect to your bambu lab account. You can download autodesk fusion for personal use for fee to do 3d modeling. Export whatever 3d model as .m3f file and open it in your bambu studio to print. Once imported you can click the slice button and then print plate.
ok, based on your info and correct me if I am wrong, this may cause me issues:
- I am currently moving from win7 to win11 and as yet have not managed to connect to
wireless (I may need local help to get it connected)
- My mobile phone is basic (3g and no internet) so need to get an upgrade on my phone.
Would I be correct in saying I need to get these issues resolved before progress with the printer.
Can you verify if your printer is connected to the internet and also your bambu lab account? Not sure if this is possible without a bambu lab app from your phone.
You can also try this mode if you do not have an account but not sure if this soution is outdated:
Another method would be loading your print file onto the micro-sd and plugging in the micro-sd to your printer.
If you have wireless internet connection at home but your pc does not and you would like your pc to have wireless connection you can try and purchase a wireless usb dongle. Don’t need to get a fancy one, plugging in the usb dongle will let your PC have access to wireless internet (as long as you have a wireless router).

You don’t necessarily need wifi for your pc to be connected to your printer. Your printer can be connected via wifi to your router and your PC via LAN cable. Try following the steps below to connect your printer to your bambu lab account:
Step-by-Step Binding Process via PC (Bambu Studio)
- Ensure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Log in to Bambu Studio on your PC:
- Open the Bambu Studio application.
- Go to the Home tab (or the top left corner) and select the login/register option to sign in with your Bambu Lab account credentials.
- Ensure the correct region is selected in the preferences.
- Generate a PIN code on the printer:
- On your Bambu Lab printer, navigate to the Settings menu (gear icon).
- Select Account or WLAN > Account configuration.
- Select your region (if prompted) and a PIN code will be displayed on the screen. This code is valid for a limited time (e.g., a few minutes).
- Bind the printer in Bambu Studio:
- In the Bambu Studio software on your PC, go to the Device tab.
- In the device list section, click Bind with Pin Code.
- Enter the PIN code displayed on your printer’s screen into the prompt in Bambu Studio and click Confirm.
- Confirm on the printer:
- On the printer’s screen, a prompt will appear asking you to confirm the binding. Click Bind.
- A success message should appear on both the printer and Bambu Studio. The printer should now appear in your “My Device” list in Bambu Studio

I think you have given me enough info now for me to try and get all this up and running, the printer is not currently connected to the internet as I want to do that from the win11 pc, I already have the dongle and the disc to get wi fi but have failed so far to manage that hence I will get someone local to do that for me.
