Bambu Lab being honest

Got an email from BL asking for a trustpilot review.

Other companies often game this (in fact I suspect if you pay money trustpilot offers this as a “service”) by making the 1 through 3 stars selections go to a feedback form and only letting the 4 and 5 star ratings actually make it to the real trustpilot review form.

Bambu Lab did the honest thing, all of the selections go to trustpilot.

For those who aren’t familiar with trustpilot, I’m not sure “scam review site” or “rigged” is exactly how I’d describe it, but it addition to the biased review prompting (which Bambu Lab DIDN’T participate in, good for them) there is another distortion which allows companies to game the reviews.

Trustpilot allows companies to challenge bad reviews, and if they do trustpilot will send you a request for documentation proving you actually are a customer, including order numbers and details. If you can’t supply it (and they will be checked) they remove the bad review.

But of course the company never challenges good reviews, and as a reader I don’t have any way to dispute a good review, so those will never get double checked.
