Bambu Lab changes Sketchup file

Hello, I imported an STL file from Sketchup into Bambu Lab and after slicing found that the model had changed.
I am new to this so I am likely missing something simple.
The image from Sketchup is a vertical section of a vacuum tube adapter, so you can see how both barbed ends are drawn around the full length cylinder. But after slicing, the model appears with a shortened inside cylinder and the barbs are no longer supported. I also had to increase the wall loops to 6 so that the cylinder was attached to the end barbs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please post the model as rendered inside bambu studio.

It’d help if the picture of the print had the same orientation as the screen grab of Sketchup’s version, too.

Also, Windows as a screen-grab feature, you don’t need to take pictures of your monitor.

-WINDOWS KEY-SHIFT-S- and then drag with the mouse to select what you want to grab.

Like this grab of your screen picture.

I use Sketchup quite lot for my designs.
The issues you encounter is one I have not had at all.
Slight geometry changes due to the mesh creation, sure, but not entire parts of a model ‘overlooked’ by Studio.
Keep in mind that Sketchup is more an architectural design program than something used for 3D printing…
In order to use it for 3D printing you need to make sure what you create is a SOLID model - either using Solid Inspector or by the model showing as solic in the SU Solid tools for merging and cutting.

I suspect your screenshot is a section view of the model.
It seems to be fine in Sketchup but there is only one way to make sure.
Dimensions can be a big problem as well, especially when exporting the model as STL.
Don’t blame Studio unless you KNOW the exported STL file is flawless

Thanks for this, I will look a little closer at my Sketchup model.

This is it before and after slicing. Note that before slicing, the model looks correct. After slicing it has altered.

Thanks for that RocketSled. I had to dig out an old keyboard that had the Windows key

Knowing the issues with Sketchup >
Hide the inner and outer wall of your model.
I would bet you will then find some horizontal faces where the cone shapes end
The slicer should complain about manifold issues though.
If you want then upload the SKP somewhere and I take a look at it.

Thanks for the help and the offer. Resolved by redrawing the cones on the model and using SU Solid Inspector.
Appreciate all the help given in the thread.

Not a problem, glad you worked it all out.
