P3C is definitely interesting, but even if disregarding any other differences between the two, the build plate is just way too small. Which is perfect if printing only small items and miniatures, but I’m already planning modular systems for the desk and storage, and other larger-sized items, so the build plate would just be too small for those
It’s also good to have the machine that those looking for the commercial rights of my models would get so I can both experience the way they would be printing my models as well as make some options that would benefit from the use of H3C specifically. But for the regular consumer I do realize that P1S/P2S/P3C would be the better choice.
And we also don’t know exactly when they plan to announce it. Considering November already has 2 new releases (H3C and the scanner), the earliest would probably be December.
Plus, they would definitely want to leave some time in between the two so enough people purchase the flagship. As, and I’m ofc speculating here, if both were to become available within a short time of each other, there would be a lot of people choosing P3C over H3C as the budget version. Still the same innovative tool changer system, but a more affordable version of it. If H2C had a counterpart like that there would probably also be many people choosing it over it.
So it kinda makes sense Bambu went with the H3C first and not P3C or both of them at once. They make us crave it, then wait until the majority of those willing to buy at the premium price get the H3C, and when the orders start decreasing announce P3C for those who also wanted the H3C but needed more budget for it than what they were willing to spend. And by that time even those who were specifically waiting for the P3C reveal would be so on edge that they would rush to buy it right away
I think that is way to high pricerange. For that price you get already a EU build Prusa Core One L + INDX. I think including AMS the H3C should stay below 2500€. It is just a matter of time until Creality releases a K3 Plus with maybe 350mm³ build space. Unless Bambu releases a ,machine with 2x9 toolheads I don’t see a higher price range. AMS is - I guess less complex that two AMS 2 Pro. If it can’t multiplex filament to filament to different nozzles it is just one feeder be reel and a tube. Heater is already in the AMS 2 Pro. I don’t see there a complex part. For the printer the toolhead got less complicated, single extruder. Toolchange was already possible on the H2C .. sure not with the filament feed. But thats the point of a tool changer that Bambu didn’t achieved with the H2C. Why not more - because there is competition and Bambu Lab is chasing the other companies (Snapmaker, FlashForge, Prusa/Bondtech…). It is not I don’t liek BambuLab, but I don’t see a leadership here. maybe on the 3rd of November. We will see.
Oh, I truly hope you are right and the price would be around 2500€. That would leave no doubt between choosing the vortek bundle for H2C and the new H3C. Though it would then get way too close to the undiscounted vortek bundle price of 2449€. And even if we disregard the new tool changer system, vortek bundle for H2C would allow for 8 spools stored in those 2x AMS 2 Pro while the new H3C comes with AMS for 9 spools. They did recently decrease the price of the vortek bundle, so it was even higher before
I do think, though, that the AMS 3H is not just the 9-spool version of AMS 2 Pro but a combination of the regular AMS and the HT one, to allow for their new TPU to be directly stored and used from within it without the need for any extra accessories. Especially considering the leaked power ratings for both 3P and 3H. That also makes me think that P3C, unless it would somehow get compatible with AMS 3H, would not allow for their newest 2.85 TPU 75A, and it would be a signature feature of the H3C model.
I guess the pürices to lower after christmas (maybe not to the discounted now, but lower).
But next week we will know. My christmas budget should cover H3C and S1 if possible
.
Hope I am not disappointed. Even I am not into printing too much multi color (at least only few layer with colors). I think painting a model is some kind of contemplation and substitude for Yoga.
That’s probably the best present possible to give yourself for Christmas! I hope you will manage to get them both (:
I hope for the AMS 3 for H3C they have to chambers with different heater temperatures possibles in both.
