BAmbu labs, preview mode - very hard to see/differentiate, when lookig at layers, etc (especially when i have grey filament, but same for all, basically). HOw to make a more viewable contrast, and sharpness, when looking at the general preview, advancing layer by layer, and actually the whole veiw? any adjustments to this?
any feedback apreciated, thanks
Swap the view mode between the many available.
You haven’t said one in particular is causing you problems, so you may not have noticed there are many.
Look at the legend (far right top corner), there is a drop down at the top of it “Color Scheme”, swap between many views like:
- Filament
- Line Type
- Summary
- Speed
- Layer Height
- Layer Width
- Many more
You use these to explore your model for printability.
You can also use the layer bar to start the detailed view, (far right of screen) drag it to a point you wish to explore.
When doing so, you also get the per layer bar which goes through how each layer is printed and in what order. This is shown at the bottom of the screen when you are using the layer bar.
thanks for reply.
i’ve tried multiple modes. but see attached. the first two are from different modes. hard to discern the object. next one is the PREPARE mode. with the bed being grey, it is poor contrast (even with some other colors). 4th image is on my desktop, looking at an STL, contrast is better, easier to see object. it would be great to be able to adjust background colors, in prepare/preview, to alter bed colors, because with the higher contrast, the detail shows up better. I’ve even change filament colors, in PREPARE, just to see object better, but that is a pain, because i have to remember to turn it back to original PRINTING color, before printing (errors happen). anyway, i do appreciate the feedback, but would like to find alternates to change at least the contrast. thanks !
I understand the problem given the images you provided.
I don’t do much in grey, so I have to admit, it hasn’t jumped out at me.
You could turn this into a feature request by tweaking your categories in the title area.

i went back and made it bambu labs, FEATURE requests, but gave me an error, says i need “a TAGS in TAG”, and i can’t see where or what to put as tag…
i NEVER DID well with tags, despite 30 years of posting stuff…
