Bambu prizes

Hello all, Is someone here able to explain what you his prize is, what’s 50 bambu lab gift card mean?

Someone entered a contest.

Judges picked the winner, 1st and second runners up.

They also pick “Excellent Participation” recipients, usually 10.

If the entrant wins any of these prizes, they will receive an email a few days later with a gift card code.

When you go to the Bambu Lab store, and add things to your basket, you enter this code into the checkout page and the amount on the card is deducted from the total price charged.

If this was you, well done.

But that does the 50 mean?

This one is slightly different.

I did misread it the first time.

In this case, without the dollar sign, it is actually the number of credits you can spend on the MakerLab services that are charged for use.

I am not sure if all of these services require credits, but, for those that do, there are now 50 ready to be used.

You can also “purchase” them by swapping any points earned.

If you do not know about points or how to accrue them, scroll to the top and select the “Rules” link on the top left of the big yellow box.

I have been told I’ve won this category but emailed to say I’d won The Excellent Place Prize is 40 USD Bambu Lab Gift

I’m confused so is 50 lab points equal a 40USD?

Also is bambu gift lab the same as maker lab. They are using different terminology.

You did the Christmas Pudding Village House? It’s really nice! I’m not sure why the email said you won a $40 gift card, the contest page says $50.

Thankyou, yes that was my entry
The email I just got says $40 which is why I’m a little bit confused.
It says I won The Excellent Place Prize is 40 USD Bambu Lab card.
The image I posted above just says 50 and not 50USD which is why I’m wondering if there is a difference.
Can anyone else figure it out.

Which country are you in?

They normally send you a country-specific currency conversion.

They did each time I won mine.

I agree the 50 without a current sign is very confusing.

The prizes for the other levels show USD, it is a typo on their graphic.

I think Bambu is confused lol… the prize amounts vary on the contests. On some the excellent participation prize is $40 and on some it’s $50. But on the Cozy Christmas it was $50. AND they forgot to put the USD in front…

Here’s Cozy Christmas

Here’s the castle contest

Should I say it again?

MakerWorld & Bambu Lab constantly fail at communications.

It’s definitely cozy Christmas that I won on, and I think it’s the lack of USD on their graphic that’s confused me.
Do you think I should challenge this with them, as something doesn’t add up. I wanted to check with other here to make sure I’ve not misread something.
Thanks for your help

I would, they put it in writing. When you state a set prize you have to honor it.

** Malc makes a good point, if its the conversion rate then that explains it.

Your clock shows the same time as mine.

This would indicate you are not in the US and would not use the US store.

This might account for the difference in amounts.

This might have been meant to be a £40 gift card which would be around the correct conversation from $50.

This happened to me the first time, I had them correct it, otherwise I would not have been able to use it.

I am in UK. I did wonder this but then why did they say 40USD in the email and not £40. The email also asks me what country, which employs they aren’t taking the country I live into account if they are giving me an option.

They have really confused me :joy:

If you haven’t already, reply back and say something like this.

Thank you for contacting me.

Your email says $40 but the prize for the contest I entered was $50.

I am in the UK and require the Gift Card to be in GBP for the equivalent of $50.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks, I feel that I’m not the only one that’s misunderstood it and something doesn’t add up with there email and their graphic errors. I will contact them, thanks for your help.

Yeah, they have no clue and again, are useless at communications.

You are very welcome.

Get some sleep. I am still awake due to my ill health, I doubt you have a good excuse.

I too had the same question. My email said 40 USD, but wondered why the page said “50” anyone have any luck contacting them?

I won a participation award and received $59 AU the equivalent of $40 US at the time

I contacted them and they said it was a system error that I was emailed the wrong amount. I think theres was also a graph typo on their website which is what added to the confusion.
You should receive 50 USD if that’s what it said the prize was.
