Bambu should offer an X1C to X1E-Lite upgrade aka higher temp hotend

We need a hotend and hotend board upgrade for higher temp filaments like PPS. I have read that higher watt heaters can hurt the hotend board since it is limited to 48W. I have been going in circles trying to find an aftermarket hotend that can reach 320°C or higher, but have not been able to find anything that appears would fill my needs. I understand the firmware also limits the value input for the max temp to 300°C, so firmware would also need to change. I would love for Bambu to offer an “upgrade” for existing X1C users to get close to an X1E hotends capabilities.

If anyone knows a way to do all of this without Bambu’s help, please let me know.
I am probably repeated a question that has been asked for years, idk.

Welcome to the community.

There is a third party mod that will do this but it comes with strings attached. See this recent post on that topic.

It’s an easy mod that the 2a community has been using for some time now. If you’ve got a soldering iron and some then you can easily mod it yourself.

You can Google “Bambu P1S/X1C Resistor mod for higher temperatures.” to see some more information on the subject. In short, you solder a 33ohm resistor to one the thermistor’s leads.

I’m not doing PPS yet so haven’t had to do it. Not sure if I’ll do it on the stock nozzle or obxidian.
