I have a brand new 9800X3D and X870E with 64GB RAM and starting having this issue where the slicer was crashing with slicing more than one complex mini on the bed.
I found this thread and tried to set process affinity to 7 cores. It worled for 3x models on the bed, but crashed at 6.
What worked for me was setting Windows 8 compatibility mode for this app. Now it seems slower, but at least it works without crashing to slice 6x complex minis on the bed.
I had the same problem, but none of the fixes suggested worked for me. Setting the affinity had no effect. Another threat in this forum linked the problem to a setting in the 3-D settings for NVIDIA graphic adapters. That fix worked for me. Go to NVIDIA Control panel - 3D Settings- Manage 3D Settings - and then set “DSR-Smoothing” (DSR-Glättung) to “Off”.
My Orca Slicer crashes occasionally (maybe once every 5 models or so). My specs are:
Apple M4 (10/10 core)
24GB RAM
13" MacBook Air

Hello, my problem is solved. When I rebuilt the PC, I renewed everything except the power supply. Then I always had the new starts. Now I have built up a new power supply with 750 watts and everything runs without problems. Maybe someone will help.The solutions above also indicate that the electricity demand is too high.
I had the same problem, but a different cause. Using whocrashed, I was able to narrow it down to the CH340 driver. It’s from both my previous printer and laser engraver, connected via USB. Anyhow, if somebody has that root cause for the BSOD of many facet models, updating that driver fixed it for me. search CH341SER_EXE.html
Hello. I’m using an i9-14900KS processor, and I found a temporary workaround for this issue as follows: While Bambu Studio is running, I open the Task Manager. Then I go to the “Details” tab from the “More” menu, right-click on bambustudio.exe, and select “Set affinity.” From there, I reduce the number of CPU cores being used. For very large models, I select only CPU 0. I apply this method not only for Bambu Studio but also for other programs where I experience similar issues with the i9 processor.
Additionally, if the problem persists, before hitting the slice button, I zoom the view to a part of the screen where the model is not visible. As long as the model is not shown on screen during the process, I don’t encounter any crashes or blue screens.
I am having a similar issue. i9, dual Nvidia P620 64G RAM and everything is up-to-date. I’ve even tried the suggestions of turning off certain features in the 3d settings. Stupid slicer crashes on big models, sometimes Bambu studio also crashes when loading large models. Basically unusable for me. I was just able to load and slice a large model on a 3 year old i7 laptop with 32G RAM and integrated graphics. It took forever, but it worked. My takeaway is Bambu studio is just not up to the task of using more modern hardware.
