Bambu has just released version 2.1.0, which contains quite the changelog:
https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/release/release-note-2-1-0
I really like that you can now copy print settings from one object to another.
A bit unexpected to see
Thanks to OrcaSlicer for the contribution.
…
Maybe unexpected but good to see ![]()
Studio has many features that originated in OrcaSlicer, thanks to Softfever and the rest of the OrcaSlicer developers.
I recently saw the new update has the precise wall feature, but I don’t see it in the software anywhere. My precision section just has Elephant foot compensation and precise Z height there’s no option for the precise wall like where it should be in the screenshot.

10. New Precise Wall feature (available in developer mode) : This new feature improves dimensional accuracy and inter-layer consistency by adjusting the gap between outer and inner walls. Thanks to OrcaSlicer for the contribution.
As Neijit linked, you have to enable Developer mode (this wasn’t initially mentioned by them).
For some reason I feel like my print times after this update are inflated… No evidence, just seems like this print I’m doing now should not take almost 12 hours. I’m printing the black section of the fuselage for the SpaceX Starship model on Makerworld.
Still no multi-device support for H2D…
They have broken something with the H2D in this update. I started a print and the pre-print calibration is going on 15 mins so far. It’s currently doing it’s 5th bed level.
Even the movements when moving between each position to bed level is so much slower than before.
With this new release, did they take away the ability to change the fan speed? I can’t seem to change it.
The mobile app doesn’t work either, If I try to change the speeds there, it immediately reverts back to 30%,30%, 30%.
Have they fixed all the issues with all of the previous versions of 2.0.X or should I still continue with version 1.10.1.50. forgot to say, i am using bambu studio on Macair, ios big sur, ver 11.7.10, printing with A1+AMS lite.
how do you enable developer mode? thanks
Where do I find precise wall feature?
The filament selection menu change is really dumb. You added a click for no reason. This is a bad design change. If someone has 9000 filament options then just make this a UI change checkbox somewhere. Not everyone needs 37 submenus on their menus.
I was looking to see if anyone else was gonna make this comment… I hate unnecessary menus and extra steps… I agree completely.
They could also give us the option to change it – Do you want Style A or Style B …? Ya know? Instead of just sporadically changing the software we’ve all spent YEARS using… HATE when companies do that…
unless someone says otherwise. if it an’t broke don’t fix it. I am on the same version 1.0.10.50 and it works great. so unless someone says a new version really rocks I am not going to update or at the very least we could install both version and try the new one and always have the other version as a backup. I know I downgraded to the older version of the firmware and now when my printer says a new version is available I say "NO, NO & hell NO.
John, I finally gave in. When the A1 firmware updated a few days ago, I also updated studio to 2.1.0.59, and so far have had no problems with either updates. Also I have been leaving the settings alone. I am not one who tweaks the settings, mainly because I don’t know enough about what changing the settings would do and for me, the standard settings work for what I print and the prints come out ok. Just because the update software works for me though, doesn’t mean that I encourage anyone to update, espically if you had problems with updates before. If you or anyone else does update, I wish you best of luck.
