Bambu Studio Bug Reporting Thread

Since I updated to 1.09.03.50 I get a black screen on the prepare page. I can still select items that are there, But I can’t see anything…

I have tried logging out and in, re-installing, downgrading to 1.09.01.67, but I get the same thing.

Slicer tree supports do not actually touch model. Gcode generated from this seems to cause model to print offset.
Please see Github issue with same title for more details and files. Seems I cannot upload a link here.

Problem: Weird translating Dutch
Studio version Latest

Bed Leveling was changed to ‘Bed Nivelering’ in the dutch settings.
‘Bed Nivelering’ is a weird translation for bed leveling.
It’s more logical to use ‘Bed Leveling’ again also for Dutch people

Bambu Studio 1.9.3.50, LAN Mode

I have several Bambulab printers and it annoys me immensely having to enter printer access codes into the Bambu Studio several times a day.

And by the way, it would be extremely helpful if I could give the printers a name instead of having to identify them by their serial numbers in the “Device” tab.

You have to be in cloud mode to change printer names, not LAN-only.

This works from Studio:

Or in the Handy app, use the 3-bar menu on top right to access Settings, then Device Name.

The new names will be retained when you switch back to LAN-only mode.

Sorry, I can’t help with the access code issue, I’ve never encountered it.

Hello, I’m new to these discussion forums and thus can’t make a separate post about this so I’m reporting here and hoping for any help someone can offer on the situation. Last night was the first time I used my printer in over a month after struggling with software updates and then this morning I realized one of the struggles from that software update is one of the networks I use.

I have my printers at home on that network, they are connected and now that I got the latest version of studio working, I was able to do a successful print. But my shop network, I get my broadband through the same company in the same town, when I try to use the Studio or Handy app on the internet at my shop, it will not connect to Bambu servers at all, there is nothing that shows up for models or anything. I took my phone and turned off the wifi and I could access and see my printer fine through my cell data. I’ve looked on my computer and Bambu is allowed through the firewall on there, the only thing I can think of is something changed on this internet about a month ago now, my internet works fine with everything else I use that works through a cloud, and they both worked fine before, but something changed and I’m not sure what to look for to get it working again.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

L test print going into object.

Problem: Skirt line overprints using “Print sequence → By Object” feature
Studio Version: 1.9.3.50
Platform: Windows 11
Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Bambu Studio
2. Add two objects
3. Enable "Others --> Skirt Loops [6]"
4. choose "Others --> Print sequence --> By Object"
5. Use AMS, Assign both objects different colors
6. Slice
7. Notice in preview skirt overprints at same area, If skirt value is 6 skirt will be printed 5 times

This causes the nozzle to grind against the skirt, and sometimes the skirt becomes trapped in the nozzle, causing print failures.

Problem: Bambu Slicer making/printing lines in my model when using fuzzy skin and extending print time.
Studio Version: 1.09.07.52
Platform: Windows
Steps to reproduce:

  1. install latest version of bambu studio
  2. Slice a model with fuzzy skin
  3. Notice the vertical lines in slicer and after printing

Hello, I have a model that I have been printing quite a lot, it is a large pendent light shade with the fuzzy skin texture. I noticed that after installing latest update my model was printing with these vertical ridges or lines and then almost like a flat seam running up the side in the back, and extending my model print time from 7 to 10 hours. I checked the preview in the slicer and the lines are visible in the preview. When I reverted back to version 1.09.03.5 those lines visibly disappear in the slicer preview. I checked my models and checked all my quality settings are identical in both versions, the new slicer seems to have a bug. Also I cant pin point what would increase the print time by 3 hours.

Thanks!

I updated Bambu Studio on Wednesday to v1.9.7.52 and it acts like it is opening and then just sits all I get is a black screen and the hourglass. You click on the screen and a message comes up Bambu Studio not responding. I am running on Windows 11. My work around I using Orca Slicer.

Just check this box in the preferences. It’s off by default now.

Problem : When running Bambu Studio, the screen goes dark momentarily as if the GPU driver has been reset, and when it returns, the screen display in the model display pane of Bambu Studio is not updated.

Studio version: 1.09.07.52
Platform Occurs only on Windows 10 Pro on AMD Ryzen 9 7900X iGPU on desktop PC. Does not occur on Windows 10 Home on Intel Core i7 9750H + NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660Ti on notebook PC.
Steps to reproduce :

  1. Open Bambu Studio.
    2.Perform any operation.
3.The GPU driver will be reset.

Problem: Bambu Studio still annoying not restoring correct AMS available spools when changing printer (if have more)
Studio Version: 1.9.7.52
Platform: MacOS
Steps to reproduce: Print with AMS on a Printer, switch printer and AMS isn’t synchronized.

Log file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11uSq5aMsZmpKmuxPdz2cf3YagV_GVqkS/view?usp=drive_link
Other information: Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1, MacBook Pro 14 2023, M2

This issue isn’t still solved. It is really annoying.
I have to switch more times on a printer before getting the possibility to RE-SYNC the AMSs.
I have a A1mini with AMS Lite and an X1C with AMS.
No way to switch between them and correctly soon obtain the right AMS configuration attached with it.

Hi Duane777,

I have checked the box keep liveview when printing but it does not follow up that command it is still shot down (screen goes black in bambu studio dashboard)

any suggestion how to solve that

Well then they’re lying to us

I 'll test it again tonight and see if it works as they say.

update: It works now

thank you

What i found out today was that as long as your printing, your Liveview stays on as it should. But when my print finished it turned off liveview after a certain amount of time.

I don’t have a problem with this feature.

Problem: Bambu Studio does not show a colored thumbnail when setting color with “Height range Modifier”
Studio Version: 1.9.7.50
Platform: Windows
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Bambu Studio and add object.
  2. Remove all color from the model.
  3. Set the color for model only using the “Height range Modifier” setting
  4. Slice and print object.
  5. Notice how the “Printing Progress” thumbnail does not contain the actual colors that are printing.

Problem: Bambu Studio still randomly crashes switching to the cam page after launchng a print.
Studio Version: 1.9.7.52
Platform: MacOS
Steps to reproduce: Randomly (but often) happening. Can’t be reproduced at will
Other information: Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1, MacBook Pro 14 2023, M2

This issue isn’t still solved

Skip Feature

Let’s say you have several objects on the plate and just one contains multiple colors.
If you now skip the object with the multiple colors, the printer skips it of course, but still does the color changes.
This is just wasting filament, time and energy.
