Bambu Studio 2.3.0.70 doing the same thing on Windows 10. It gets as far as the main screen with Prepare Preview Device Project Calibration on top of a black screen then it crashes back to the desktop.

Same problem with me, Win 10 and Bambu studio 2.3.0.70, make it to the main screen and it immediately crashes/disappears.

Anyone got a solution yet? Same Problem on Macbook Pro M4. After deleting plugin folder the app starts normally. But you need the network plugin to have basic cloud operations running or just to start a print(I know printing over sd card is possible, but I still need remote management and stuff like that). After installing the network plugin the app crashes instantly.

Its not a problem with the app but rather with the network plugin. Could be due to the fact that there was a global internet failure at AWS.

I’m also having problems with Bambu Studio 2.3. The Bambu window opens and then immediately crashes with a Windows error message. This means I can only use my Bambu P2S with my Bambu phone.

Same problem, Any fixes or workarounds ?

I just tried to install it again with the same results.

Beginning to get a bit impatient, it’s been two days with this issue. Why no word from Bambu?

its a less than ideal situation but a short-term solution would be to just run a linux distro in a vm and use that one.

which… again, less than ideal but y’gotta work with what you gotta work with.

you could also try orca slicer:

Several people have suggested reverting to a previous version and pointing to Github. This site doesn’t seem very intuitive, can someone post step by step instructions ?

The default Github page for Studio starts you out on the Code page.
From there, find and click on Releases
Scroll down to the version you want.
Scroll to the end of that version’s release notes.
Open “Assets”
Click on the file for your operating system to start the download.

For Windows, the .exe file will perform a normal installation and overwrites whatever version you currently have installed. The .zip version is a “portable” version" that can unpacked into a separate folder without affecting your installed version. Just go to that folder and run bambu-studio.exe. Having multiple versions on your computer is useful when you are trying a beta version, or when a new version mostly works except for that one function that used to work great before Bambu messed with it.

The OrcaSlicer Github pages and portable versions work the same, if you are tempted to try something different.

Look in the downloads folder of your browser. I have several older versions of Studio in there to pick from.

i put in a support ticket and bambu ended up sending me a new version that fixed my problem, so i assume they should be putting out an update soon. if you haven’t put in a ticket!

I recently updated to version 2.03.01.51, and I started having this issue. I tried all of the common fixes scattered around the internet, but with no success. I reverted to the immediate previous version, but still had the issue. I finally reverted back to 2.0.3.54, and finally got it to work.

I did some searching through the windows event logs, and found this application launch failure, and it referenced the dll ig75icd64.dll. The log entry was:
Faulting application name: bambu-studio.exe, version: 2.3.1.51, time stamp: 0x69019662

There is a newer version since my post.

All Working now for me:

My Procedure (Mac);
I deleted the application + /application support + /preferences (Mac)

Emptied trash (at your risk, verify your files)

Restart your computer, download latest Bambu version, and install. Launch Bambu app, you will be prompted to reinstall the network plugin…

Note : you will loose all your prefs such as, filaments available in menu (just a click to add all back.

Deleting prefs/support files will cause Losing Custom filaments that you may have created could be a bigger concern for some though this was not a big deal for me.

Happy printing!

The new Version 02.04.00.07 seams to solve this for me
