For the past few months, I’ve been having a problem with Bambu Studio. When I go to the Device tab and switch the printer, the whole program freezes for several seconds, often even over a minute. The same thing happens when I change the filament. Sending a print job also takes a very long time. On top of that, the program sometimes just crashes during slicing.
It started more or less when I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, but I don’t think it’s the system’s fault, because I checked on a laptop with Windows 11 and everything works fine there.
On my PC, I’ve already tried reinstalling the system, reinstalling Bambu Studio, updating all drivers, and checking the RAM. I can’t find the cause, and it’s extremely frustrating when working with multiple printers.
My PC (where the issue occurs):
Core i5-12400F, 32 GB RAM, GeForce RTX 4070
Laptop (where everything works fine):
Core i7-8750H, 16 GB RAM
Current Bambu Studio version: 2.5.0.66
I came across some information suggesting this might be related to a SPLIT LOCK issue with 11th gen+ CPUs, but that discussion was about Ubuntu.
Is there any solution to make Bambu Studio run smoothly on Windows without freezing?
