No. That’s my screengrab of my system. My system does not have a problem. I’m at 40% of 64GB because my CAD program was also open and it uses a fair amount of DRAM for a large model.
It was just to illustrate what the OP should do.

I have this same issue! I often have CAD, Keyshot, Figma and Chrome all open and running without any issues at all. Bambu Studio was also totally fine until the 13th of Nov when all of a sudden it’s become unusable. When it’s not running, my computer is fine, when it’s running everything lags.
I have a 2024 Asus G14. 2 GPUs, AMD 780M and RTX4070.
I found one windows update from the 13th which I’ve uninstalled but the problem persists. I’ve checked drivers etc and still no improvement.
The odd thing is, on my other computer which is a Surface Pro 7, it has no issues running. I’m at a loss for what could be causing the issue.
Given that there was such a slow down I bit the bullet and did a complete reset of my laptop. All is running fine now. No idea what the root cause was.
Sziasztok!

I am adding more printers and want to run more instances of the app as well.
I am on Windows 11. 6 core AMD CPU. 64GB of RAM. My PC is unusable currently.
Can anyone confirm if downgrading from Windows 11 to Windows 10 helps with this issue?
Nothing in taskmaster looks fishy when my computer is barely operational.
I have noticed google chrome uses massive amounts of ram if it is open for a few days, might have a memory leak. You could try closing it and see what happens couldn’t hurt.
have any of you guys got avast antivirus by any chance ? ive deleted it as disabling it did not work. and it seemed to be an issue… also dissabled all the privacy stuff that i dont need such as ink type and all that
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else has encountered something similar.
I have a pretty solid system—I installed a 4080 back in March last year—and also use a second workstation at work. Both systems run the same operating system, and I’ve never had performance issues on either until a couple of weeks ago.
Since installing Bambu Lab and using it both at home and remotely at work, I’ve started experiencing significant slowdowns, even when the software isn’t running (though it’s worse when it is).
OneDrive isn’t installed, so that’s not a factor.
Avast is not installed on either machine, only Norton(requirement of my workplace)
What’s odd is that my work system, which has much lower specs, has also started showing similar symptoms. I haven’t used Bambu Lab software as much on that machine(only since mid January), but it’s too much of a coincidence that both systems—at entirely different locations—began having these issues after commencing to use the same slicing software.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
My issue may have been due to a recent firefox update it appears, im switching over to Opera for a few days to see if that helps. Painful with the amount of Pinned tabs i need daily for work, but its much better then dealing with the performance issues i have while its running.
Hopefully that’s the issue for me.
Did anyone get anywhere with this? I have three machines I use here, 2 desktop machines and 1 laptop. My main desktop is afflicted by this problem and it’s very severe. The other two machines (lower specs, ironically) seem immune.
It’s very annoying to not be able to run Bambu Studio on my main machine.
I have very similar symptoms. Firefox, Edge and Brave browsers work fine when BambuStudio v1.10.1.50 is running at the same time. However, if I try to use Chrome and BambuStudio at the same time then Chrome lags when I interact with it. Once BambuStudio is closed, Chrome starts working fine again. This all started a few weeks ago.
Naturally, I tried debugging Chrome. I won’t go into detail, but I was thorough. This didn’t help. So, I’m forced never to run these two applications simultaneously.
Windows 11, R5800X3D, 32Gb, 3080, Bambu Studio 01.10.01.50
System become unusable with lagging moving mouse when Bambu studio opened. After closing, process of Studio system becomes responsive.
Will we have any comment from developers? Or can we share any logs from the system to start the investigation of the issue?
It seems that Bambu Labs would rather focus on refactoring the software to exclude all 3rd party companies than addressing the real problems of the software.
No, it has nothing to do with this kind of things.even after the system was fresjh installed and Bambu Studio was the only installed application, the same thing happen. It is a issue in Bambu Studio becasue it ONLY happens if Bambu Studio is running.
And trust me, I have a really powerful PC, 64 GB RAM, AMD 7800X3D and so on and I’m as a software developer and system administrator with my daily job, know if a system is out of performance.
You want a real slow down? Have Bambu Studio and Autodesk Fusion open at the same time. Also, after a while, Fusion will start having “funky” issues with the display and eventually will crash.
If I only have Fusion running, I can go all day long without any issues, what-so-ever. It’s only when Bambu Studio is running alongside with Fusion, is when bad things happen.
I haven’t taken the time to do a proper investigation, but my gut says that Bambu Studio has a memory leak or bad memory allocation and it’s stepping on other programs memory.
This can happen when writing in C++ if one isn’t careful.
I landed here because I’m experiencing the same problem. Since several versions of BambuLab Studio, the situation has been that other programs, especially Chrome, become very laggy as soon as BambuLab is started. When you close it again, the other programs return to their normal responsiveness.
Curiously, the Windows Task Manager shows almost no CPU usage, and RAM consumption is far from any limits. The only noticeable thing is that BambuLab Studio constantly shows 4MBit/s network activity.
Therefore, my assumption is that network activities might not be implemented as ‘non-blocking,’ which could interfere with the processing of other programs. But that’s just a rough guess.
Nevertheless, this issue is very annoying. I hope someone from BambuLab addresses this problem.
My current PC setup is:
I landed here as well because my Windows 11 computer becomes very laggy after launching Bambu Studio. I wish there was a solution. When Bambu is running, I often have my taskbar disappear from the bottom when switching programs. When working in BambuStudio, the taskbar is often missing. Hard to pin down exactly what the problem is.
I have exactly same problem. Now I am using Bambustudio, until some months ago I was using Orcaslicer and problem is even bigger. Now i now this bug at Orca is inherited from being bambustudio fork.
It is not possible a company that want its printers act as printing farm has a software that is near inusable with 4 or 5 instances running.
This issue still presists in the latest Bambu Studio. Ive had two (decently high spec) laptops now which both come to a halt after a minute or two of bambu studio being used. Everything becomes laggy. Even before any model is imported, the start of a slow down can be noticed. It affects all the other programs that are running, and windows itsealf! Browsing web whilst having bambu studio open is very laggy. Snipping tool can become almost unusable. Task manager shows no where near maximum resource usage. Theres something funky going on somewhere.
For reference, here’s the spec of my current machine:
64GB ram, Intel ultra 7 155H, RTX 4060 (+intel integrated), 2TB NVME SSD.
It is quite embarrassing how slow the software runs on a hardware like that. I’ve had cura run much faster on a machine several times slower. I’ve set bambu studio to use the dedicated GPU in the Nvidia app. Still no luck.
Needs to be investigated.
I’ll try to go back to a deafult page file size, which i think helped a litle bit on my last machine with bambu studio performance issues. Though this may be a placebo. I need large page file for 3D scanning but I guess for now I’ll just do without it.
Both laptops have a dedicated Nvidia GPU, alongside integrated graphics. One system is AMD CPU, the other one uses an Intel CPU. Both experience same issues.
