Bambu studio on linux mint

New user here.

I am considering buying an X2D.

I have installed bambu studio flatpak 2.6.0.51. It launches and slices ok.

I don’t have a bambu printer to connect.

Is anyone using linux mint 22.3 with bambu studio 2.6.0.15?

The Bambu Studio v 2.6.0.51 flatpack installed via the Mint Software Manager seems to work okay, but occasionally shows a Wait or Force Quit when it gets overwhelmed. I’m running the same OS, but kernel 6.8.0.117-generic

I am running same version with kernel 6.17.0-29 Generic and Studio 2.6.0.51. I have had no issues other than the very occasional force quit with very large or complex models.

Has anyone tried the Ubuntu v24.x build(s), on Mint? I’ve tested an earlier version combo (Mint 21/Ubuntu 22) which seemed to work… more or less. I don’t use the Linux version(s) regularly, so there may definitely be issues (I noticed some oddness with shortcut handling depending on focused window, for example). OTOH it also honored the system theme settings, unlike the Flatpack version.

Anyway, more of interest than anything. Doubt it would affect stability a whole lot, but perhaps.
