Hey all, I have a question: what does skip part really do? If it became a mess and everything else on the plate is OK, does it skip that part after it starts, or does it need to be done before the print starts? Also does it skip a layer on that part or the whole part? When will it be available for A1 series? Thanks

After a print starts, you can select which item(s) to skip and it will continue printing the other items. I’ve used it a couple of times and it’s works good keeping the items that are still usuable.
Is this issue #6726 the main blocker for OrcaSlicer at the moment? I haven’t been following the latest news and I’m genuinely curious.
It’s not a blocker, but an annoyance.
I have no idea how much work this would be, but if there was the ability to add fuzzy skin via an imported black and white image with or without an alpha, that would be incredible.
It will allow you to skip printing an object during the printing process. It allows you to salvage the remainder of objects on the bed. Skip Objects | Bambu Lab Wiki
Je viens d acheter une X1C. j’utisais avec mon ancienne imprimante Octoprint.
Ce qui me manque énormément, et une grande régression, c’est la gestion anémique de la carte SD. On ne peut pas envoyer le fichier directement sur la carte SD placée dans l imprimante, on ne peut pas transférer le fichier de la mémoire interne vers la carte SD, pour mettre le fichier sur la caret SD on est obligé de se lever, retirer la SD, la mettre dans un lecteur dans le PC,aller la remettre dans la X1C… on dirait une mauvaise blague… Pensez à nous et ajouter cette fonctionalité !
The latest update of Bambu Studio Beta Version 2.2.0.60 messed up/changed how fonts in the text tool are rendered. Such as Arial, the characters are fatter (more than Bold) and are not evenly spaced.
Any body else got this issue?
The new fuzzy texture tool looks cool! Have not tried it yet, though.

I can’t believe it, I never thought they’d actually do it. I was convinced this was not in the works because not supporting it would surely sell more AMSes. I’m very glad to be proven wrong
So i installed the new public beta 2.2.0.60 and when i go to click on extruder under printer settings. The program just crashes. not sure why or if this is a bug in general but could use some help either way.
Hi, can you tell me how you got this feature to show up in BS 2.2? I’ve been trying on multiple computers with no luck. The icon is not there.

My initial reply was based on how it’s supposed to work. Sorry I wasn’t clear about that. I just installed the 2.2 beta to actually test it myself and apparently it’s not working for me in the Beta. I will say I’m using a Mac, so not sure if it’s a Mac thing or not, but either way it’s not working for me.
No it never showed up for me.
Let’s say your printing something you assemble and there is like 15 different parts printing at once. Well you notice halfway thru the print that one of the parts has failed. Maybe it can unstuck. Rather then cancel the whole print, you can just select the part that failed and hit skip and it will edit the gcode in real time to not print the one part anymore this saving all the other parts
It works well when it works, which is about half the time, for me. I like what it tries to do, however, here’s some of my edge cases:
it is hard to tap on just the one part, especially when there are many small parts close together; there’s no zoom feature if you have fat fingers.
the failed part moves on the plate, and slightly moves another part, but you don’t notice the second part right away.
a layer doesn’t bind and the extruder starts printing in air, and then that loose filament needs to be cleared out… so now you have to both skip the bad part and pause the printer, then when it returns to printing, it continues the layer for the skipped part and you’re back to doing it all over again (I usually get that cleared out in 2 cycles, tho).
Exact Same Issue. I use SEGOE UI BLACK as a font on one of my personalized models.
now that font has super random spacing and is not working properly.
I have the same issue with ARIEL BLACK
