You do know that Sony, LG, Samsung and Philips, just to name a few, have all done Kickstarter/Indiegogo (or regional/corporate platforms) crowdfunding projects/launches? Even Bambu did another one recently for the CyberBrick. It’s not just about finances (and in point of fact may be nothing to do with that), but also to test market demand, as well as the publicity value that can come from it. i.e. just looks at this…
I’m not saying their products don’t (didnt?) have issues… on that front, I have no personal experience. Just don’t confuse a Kickstarter with “strapped for cash” or “unable to manage finances”
