I refused delivery of a P2S because the box was stained with oil. They returned it to Bambulab and it arrived back to them two days ago. I asked when I would get my refund and they told me 1-3 days. Now I’ve received a response to my ticket saying that due to an unusual incident, they’re opening an investigation to find out why the package hasn’t arrived at the warehouse, and that this could take another 1-3 days. They also said there’s a 5-day holiday and it will take them those days to look into what happened with my return. They’re lying, because the tracking shows it was delivered on April 28th. Now they’re telling me yes, it arrived, but they have to check that the printer is working properly. In other words, they’re lying to delay the refund.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Bambu’s customer service…the pic below summarizes best your experience…
What I don’t understand is why they lie like that. Since I paid with PayPal, I filed a claim through PayPal for a refund as soon as possible.
Cashback would be indeed the fastest option, while “teaching” their customer support yet another lesson, a lesson that most likely will be once again ignored, like with plenty of similar “lessons” of this kind in the past. It’s either their internal policy to do so, or they don’t really care as long as the lost payment doesn’t come out of their paycheck.
Now they’re telling me they’ve passed my problem on to a specialist. Their responses are laughable.
Keep us posted on how this thing ends.
Now they’re telling me again that they’re going to investigate whether it arrived at their warehouse, and the tracking shows it was delivered two days ago. They keep going on and on about investigating it. But it’s on the tracking. What else are they going to investigate? I’ll keep you updated.
I find this “investigation claim” not just strange, but also quite hard to believe, when a fully tracked and traced shipment was confirmed as delivered to their own warehouse, and the item that was clearly delivered doesn’t show up in their system even 2 days after delivery. I would definitely call such a claim as full BS…. and based on carrier’s delivery evidence, I’d definitely request my bank (or payment agent) a full and immediate refund/charge back of the full payment.
I hope you’ll get a proper solution now.
I already opened a claim with PayPal with all the information.
I’ll keep you updated… we’re still in the same situation, no new information. I imagine the investigator is like Sherlock Holmes; it’s an extremely complex case to determine if a package that the transport company claims was delivered three days ago has actually arrived at their warehouse.
I just contacted live chat and they’re now telling me they’re waiting for the warehouse to confirm the return has arrived, which could take quite a while. They said they don’t handle returns and shipments themselves and that they forward it to the appropriate team for processing. What was supposed to take three days has now taken seven. What was supposed to take seven days has now taken seven and a half, and now they’re saying it could take even longer.
Yeah. The only problem I see is the fact that Sherlock had a very smart Dr. Watson to assist rationalizing things/thoughts… Bambu appears to be missing more that a Watson and constructive/deductive reason…. Oh well, not everyone working at Bambu is an inquisitive/deductive genius… that’s to bad for Bambu.
I’m curious to see how quickly and effectively PayPal will cooperate = enter and help to solve refund. To be honest, the more I read here about similar issues, the more I’m starting to think that I’ll use Paypal for my next printer (which will be a Bambu 90% of the time) - precisely because of the “better protection.”
I bought my first and only Bambu printer (P1S/AMS2) directly from Bambu (Europe) and paid by credit card - luckily, it works great so far, and I haven’t had to deal with any issues. But I know next time it can be different story and some “help” could be pretty welcome
Pay with PayPal, because if you have problems, they’ll be BIG problems.
European banks aren’t bad at recovering paid funds through charge back, even if it takes longer and a bit more hassle … though, I concur that PayPal is much better and faster in this kind of situations.
That’s why it’s good to be safe by paying with PayPal; if the same thing happens to you with these scoundrels at Bambulab, you’ll get your money back.
I think it’s a bureaucratic delay. I believe they won’t scam their customers, and you’ll get your refund. Yeah, such delays and drawn-out processes are frustrating, of course. By the way, was it your first experience with Bambulab? Did you print anything from them before? If yes, how was the quality?
Yeah, this happens with any company. I doubt it’s anything nefarious on Bambu’s part. It’s just typical large company/customer support issues. That’s why I always make big purchases with PayPal since they are VERY good at handling disputes.
I have an A1 and no problems.
