BAMBULAB error message- what does it mean and how do I fix it?

I downloaded a model from MAKERWORLD (Wheelchair Mobile Phone Holder - Free 3D Print Model - MakerWorld) *

aded this file iinto BAMBU STUDIO and attempted to slice the plate and received
the following error:

" Failed to generate G-code for invalid custom G-code.
change_filament_gcode Parsing error at line 18: Not a variable name
{if long_retractions_when_cut[previous_extruder]}
^
Please check the custom G-code or use the default custom G-code."

what does it mean and how do I fix it?

Thanks!

What Printer are you using?

Just got the same issue this morning after printing/slicing the EXACT same file yesterday…. nothing has changed from my end other than a windows update.

Using the P2S

so i may know what is happening
i got a Configuration Update today that fixed a g-code error with the P2S
but i have not updated bambu studio to its newest version
and all of a sudden i got the same error you got

install the latest version of Bambulab Studio and the configuration Package and it should go away (it did for me)

Hi guys … hope this helps you all… I’ve just deleted my BAMBU labs off my PC and reinstalled it… it’s now working fine !… first i tried bambu handy to do a print after getting that error message on the computer and that worked ok so i thought it must be the app on the PC

Hope it works guys

thank you for the response. I’m using the BambuLab A1

Yesterday a new version was launched
maybe in this one your problem will be fixed
otherwise i am also out of ideas and you would need to make a Ticket with Bambulab Support

I wasn’t so lucky. I tried that and no improvement. I still get the error message

How do I make a Ticket with Bambulab Support?
