BambuLab X1C doesn't clean nozzle correct with PETG-HF

Bamboo Lab X1C with PETG-HF with all updates.
Observation 1: After the bed leveling is complete, the head moves to the front left and increases the temperature to 230 degrees Celsius, and then back to 140 degrees Celsius without moving. This results in a blob on the nozzle that isn’t wiped off, but the head starts dirty during the lidar scan, which checks the print plate before the first layer is printed.
Observation 2: After the first layer is complete, the layer is scanned with the lidar, and then the head moves to the poop bucket. However, this doesn’t seem to be happening entirely correctly, because cleaning the nozzle after the temperature reaches 230 degrees Celsius seems to miss the wiper, resulting in a dirty nozzle that loses its PETG blob somewhere along the way during printing.

With PLA the nozzle is almost always clean.

I’ll be following this , as my X1c has similar blobs dropping in the print during fist layer check
I’ll try and check if the behaviour of the head and temps are the same
which firmware is running on your X1C ?

I’m not at the printer at the moment but I always update when BambuLab says there is a new version, so the newest but the number I don’t know.

my X1C is still running firmware 01.08.02.00, in LAN mode only

My X1C has 01.11.02.00 (Latest version) but I didn’t tried PETG-HF yet (everything is sold now on bambulab. com :smiley: )

as the problem is still there even with the latest firmware, I ‘ll wait to update my printer and AMS : there should be a firmare allowing the AMS update from the SDcard of the X1C (my machine is in LAN mode, so no Bambu Handy)

I see the same problem, printing PETF HF the first time since 2 days. Had to clean it manually twice since then.

I use always the newest versions. I update when the app/Printer gaive a message there is an update

my printer is in a remote workshop, without internet access, and carrying an X1c and 2 AMS seems a serious faff

I seem to have sorted the PETG drops by using a better wipper : crossing fingers, and printing some more to validate the solution
