that is the problem were tying to fix
still idk if its a softwere problem or a hardwere damage
What does the hardware have anything to do with the error message received? The X1C seems to be programmed to reject the use of the TPU for AMS in the AMS, meaning an intentional decision by BambuLab on the backend.
Quick check.
Could you check and confirm you have the TPU for AMS entry ticked in the Filament Selector?
Locate the cog to the right of the Filament Chooser in the Prepare Tab.
Confirming filament is listed and already checked. Someone else suggested same on another thread for same issue.
The computer shouldn’t have any impact as this message occurs when interacting with the and on the printer directly. I can turn off computer and same occurs.
I’m guessing likely is either a bug or intentional if Bambu learned TPU for AMS isn’t working as intended with the AMS.
I use it all the time and it works great.
Ok there goes my theory. So most people can in fact use the TPU for AMS in the AMS?
This is a known bug in the firmware for the X1C that our team of engineers is working diligently to resolve in the next release.
As a temporary workaround, use the following method and you should be able to use the filament.
- Insert the filament and let the AMS finish the pre-load procedure to read the spool.
- DO NOT use the printer’s AMS settings screen to modify the filament information for this slot. If you try to change the settings on the printer it will cause this error and not allow you to perform Step 3 below.
- Instead, please use the AMS settings in the Device section of Bambu Studio or the Handy App to set the filament type.
We apologize for this inconvenience. The firmware bringing a fix should be available soon.
Got it, thanks. Using manual rear feed option until new firmware is released.
