Does anyone know how to solve these artifacts on the prints. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong as I feel as I’ve tried a lot to solve it but it still pops up sometimes. This is on pla.
Can you describe what printer and settings you are using?
Yes sorry running on not a lot of sleep. This is on a p1s and h2s. I’ve experienced it with the textured pei and the cool plate. No brim or support.
No problem mate. Could you send me a picture of your build plate? I am guessing it is not clean, or the machine is not calibrated. Let me know!
Does the same error occur on both printers?
I could be wrong from the photos, but to me it almost seems like your filament has gotten moist. It’s extremely unlikely that an error would occur on both printers.
In any case, I would proceed step by step, otherwise it’s a waste of filament. When testing, it’s better to print just a cube and then see if you can get the problem under control.
Calibration is one possibility, but first I would definitely try to rule out that it is due to moist filament. You can see from the side walls of your bricks that something is fundamentally wrong.
As I said, it could be something else, but it’s very strange that the error occurs with both printers, which can almost only be the filament.
I agree with this. One issue I have had personally is not cleaning off my build plate with soap and water an a slightly abrasive sponge. This works wonders on print quality. Do you have the AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT?
So it seems like it’s mostly just on the p1s. But it never happened when there is no warping. So bad bed adhesion is causing it.
Definitely try washing your bed with dish soap, iso alcohol, and scrubbing with a typical dish sponge. Be sure to use the abrasive pad as well to get an extra clean (only on textured plates). I just did this a few hours ago on my X1C, and it always works great.
So it seems the overall cause is from warping on both printers. My build plates are clean as I wash them with dish soap. I think I need to try drying my filament more. I overall see the problem with warping when I’m printing many parts at once, like this. Could the problem be coming from the aux fan or part cooling fan? This whole warping issue is turning out to be a big problem as it’s causing print failures and unsellable products as I am preparing to launch and sell 3d printed toys.
Could you provide pictures of you complete print setup? Perhaps it is a drying issue, but I am not sure what climate your filament is in.
These defects are coincident with the place in the print where it goes from a <100% infill region to a top surface. The layer time changes radically, going up significantly from the layer time for the infill region. The existing printed material shrinks more from cooling during that longer layer, and that produces a visible discontinuity in the exterior wall.
Commonly referred to as the “Benchy Hull Line” problem. If you do a Google you’ll get plenty of hits.

While I haven’t started selling yet but I have thought about it and the rewards aren’t good enough for the risks of giving out the files. I don’t want to have the risk of other people taking my files and also selling them.
I also might try buying the bowl cryogrip build plate for the h2s as I’m still having issues with it but it is kinda expensive. If anyone has used it and could let me know their experience that would be great.

I am looking at your setup right now… looks great to me, especially that you mentioned your filament was dry. If you are still having issues, here is what I would do:
- Unplug your printer for a few minutes (seriously, this can solve some issues).
- Re-tension the belts
- Perform a complete calibration from the calibration menu
- Wash your build plate with dish soap, warm water, and a sponge, put IPA on it afterwards for finishing touches.
- If all else fails, contact Bambu Labs.
